Our spring-fed, 1/2 acre lake is only stocked with rainbow trout.  We try not to stock anything under 9 inches, some trout caught here have been over 20.  The average catch is approximately 11 inches and can weigh more than a pound.  We pamper these trout until you catch them.  They promise to be good eating, especially when you use one of our recipes. In advance of your visit, we encourage you to explore our recipes so you know how you want to cook your catch.

Currently, we have two pages of recipes; our traditional recipes and our new recipes, featuring our High Moutain Jerky Seasonings from Wyoming. I want to start a page of your recipes.  If you would like to share a recipe, please email it to me at seepingspringsfishing@gmail.com.

To keep our pond clean and our fish healthy we don’t allow outside fishing equipment and we don’t allow catch and release.  We provide poles and bait for fishing, at no additional cost.  You will receive a bucket to keep your fish in until you are done fishing, at which point, we will clean the fish and bag them for transport.  We are encouraging people to use our online recipes, however, for your convenience, we still give out paper copies upon request.  If you need them for longer drives we sell ice and insulated bags to pack your fish in.

This is the perfect spot to bring the kids fishing, they are guaranteed to go home with at least one catch, or your visit is free.  They will have an absolute blast and so will you.  How many times have you taken them fishing, only to have them run out of patience before the fish start biting?  Here that won’t happen!  Our staff can demonstrate techniques that will have the fish striking instantly, so even beginner fishermen and fisherwomen can have a lot of fun.

OK, all this sounds good so far, so you ask “HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST ME!”

Well first let’s look at what it will cost you to go fishing somewhere else:

Cost If You Choose To Fish In State Stocked Waters

  Resident of NM

Non-Resident of NM

Adult Annual License $25.00 $56.00
Jr. (12-17) Annual License $5.00 $15.00
One Day License $12.00 $12.00
Five Day License $24.00 $24.00
Habitat Stamp $14.00 $14.00
Bait $5.00 minimum $5.00 minimum
Pole $15.00 minimum
$15.00 minimum
Per Junior Total Cost $39.00 minimum
$49.00 minimum
Per Adult Total Cost One Day $46.00 minimum
$46.00 minimum

If you get lucky, maybe you catch 1 or 2 little puny fish that are so thin that you can’t even clean them or they disappear. More than likely all you catch is a headache from irritated kids because they’re not catching anything.

Here you won’t need a fishing license, pole, or bait and you won’t have to clean your own fish.

Your cost is 95 cents per inch for the trout you actually catch and a $4.00 permit for your group (as long as all the fish travel together).  Your cost will look like this:

Number of 10 Inch Trout Total Cost with Permit (+Tax)
1 $13.50
2 $23.00
3 $32.50
4 $42.00

When you stop and think about it, 95 cents per inch sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?  You can catch 4 trout for less than what it would cost you to license up and maybe not catch anything at all.

Here you only pay for what you catch and you can catch as many as you want!

Also, if the kids manage to get bored before you catch anything your fishing adventure is free.

Feel free to call if you have any questions or to see how the fish are biting!
